Obsidian Behemoths with 600/smite question
Hi all, just a quick question I hope you can help me with. I've just started doing some UW farming 600/smite with a hero (PVXwiki build), and have no trouble with the labyrinth, smites or vale. I would like to try the chaos planes, but I haven't been able to figure out how to defeat/get past the Obsidian Behemoths on the mountain. They just put up healing spring. Is this doable? What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, the only way to kill benemoths is to do 2 things
1) wand them trying to interrupt (it's an easily interruptable skill)
2) have patience, it takes some time for them to die
EDIT: to get better energy managment, you can also drop blessed aura, as you won't be using nor spell breaker nor SoA against them

alot of times you can just squeeze around them, look for an opening... nothing really good dropped by them anyways...
if you have to kill to get around, then wand spring whenever u see it casting then switch to next behemoth and interrupt his also

Just simply run by them. Learn the patrol routes of the Charged Blacknesses, so you can avoid them, or kill if neccessary. But if you're hell bent on killing them then wand them. They generally will only come in groups of 2-3 (except at the monument), so it shouldn't take too long, occassionally there will be groups of 4, in this case it's much much better to run past. Try and work out the order theyre using heal spring in, and keep interupting them in that order.

Thanks. The Pain Inverter idea is an interesting one.
I've tried running past them a couple times, and always blew up trying to get me and Ogden by. Guess I just need to work at it more.

Stay out of aggro until you are about to run by them, this way they wont have time to lay down many traps, maybe 1 from each group. 9 mobs out of 10 you can just run by without going near them, if it looks tight, cast Spirit bond on yourself and smiter, run and hope for the best =)
I tried Deaths Retreat on my smiter, So i'd run past the awkward groups with SoA/Spirit bond, then make the hero Retreat to me, and he's safe (spec a little out of prot and put into Shadow Arts for a little heal, if you worry about your smiter taking damage).
